Call For Proposals: It Works For Me with High-Impact Practices

With the success of our It Works for Me series, New Forums Press has asked us to create an eleventh book in the series.  It Works for Me with High-Impact Practices will be a collection of the very best tips for the successful utilization of high-impact practices in the classroom.  Recently, the Association of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U) added an 11th high-impact practice, the ePortfolio. Prospective contributors are asked to first visit https://www.aacu.org/leap/hips for a brief overview of these practices and review Kuh and O’Donnell’s Ensuring Quality & Taking High-Impact Practices to Scale (2013) for the eight key elements shared by these practices.

If you would like to submit one or more of your effective strategies to our new collection, please send your tip(s) as an email attachment in Word—finalized versions only—using the following format:

·      Title (bold, not all caps)

·      High-Impact Practice Addressed

·      Length (no more than 1000 words/tip)

·      Calibri (Body), single space, 12-point font

·      Contributor Name(s), Institution(s), and discipline(s)—at tip end only.

Send your tips in APA style tohal.blythe@eku.edu

Deadline:  January 6, 2018
