Noel Studio for Academic Creativity Dedication is Oct. 29

A ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, Oct. 29, will mark the official dedication of the Noel Studio for Academic Creativity, located in the John Grant Crabbe Library.

President Whitlock, Noel Studio Director Dr. Russell Carpenter and Carrie Cooper, Dean of Libraries, will be among the speakers for the 1:30 p.m. program, which will be followed by a reception.

Noel Studio Holds 'Groundbreaking'

Julie George, reference team leader at Crabbe Library, gave visitors a chance to see the space to be occupied by the Noel Studio for Academic Creativity following Sept. 19 ceremonies "breaking ground" for the new project. At right is Charles Hay, retired EKU Archivist.

Construction on the Noel Studio for Academic Creativity, located inside the historic Crabbe Library entrance, has come a long way since the groundbreaking on Sept. 19, 2009.

EKU Names Director for Noel Studio for Academic Creativity

Russell Carpenter has been named the first director of the Noel Studio for Academic Creativity.

Carpenter brings to EKU the experience of coordinating the writing center at the University of Central Florida and a scholarly interest in exploring writing centers through the lens of cultural and political geography.
