Noel Studio Staff and English Faculty Deliver National Presentation
Dr. Clint Stivers, Assistant Director, Writing & Communication Programs; Maggie Frozena, faculty in the Department of English; and Darian Bianco, a Noel Studio Course-Embedded Consultant, delivered, “A Polyphonic, Multimodal Approach to the Online Corequisite Classroom: Many Voices and Paths for Success,” at the National Organization for Student Success (NOSS) conference, held in Nashville, TN.
The session focused on creating online, co-requisite courses that connect students to writing and critical-reading support, a process that is essential to student success. The presenters examined ways that courses can be designed to encourage experimentation and harmonize with writing center peer support and library staff while prioritizing student relationships. The presentation highlighted ways that the Noel Studio’s Course-Embedded Consultant (CEC) model contributes to an innovative online course design.
