Dr. Russell Carpenter recently had the chance to catch up with consultant alumna, Stacy Wilder, to discuss her experiences in the Noel Studio. Stacy served as a graduate consultant in the program and graduated from EKU in 2012.
The Noel Studio will feature recent consultant alumni as they reflect on their experiences after graduation.
Each year, the Noel Studio brings in a new cohort of graduate and undergraduate students as consultants. While working as consultants in the Noel Studio, these highly trained students also hone written, oral, visual, and multimodal communication while also sharpening their information literacy skills.
The Noel Studio, in collaboration with EKU Libraries, hosted a panel of presenters, which included consultants and students. These presentations offered perspectives on the “process of creation.” Presenters discussed their own creative processes through the lens of brainstorming, technology, and collaboration.
The Noel Studio has made exciting changes to its most popular spaces. The Breakout Spaces and Presentation Practice Rooms, two of the most popular areas among students, regularly record over 100,000 hours of student use each semester.
The Noel Studio, in collaboration with EKU libraries, is coordinating student presentations for the Live @ Your Library week. Student presentations will take place on Wednesday, April 17 from 2-3:30pm in the Library’s R&I Classroom, 204D.
