The Pedagogicon is a national conference focused on teaching and learning, coordinated and hosted by Eastern Kentucky University. The inaugural conference was held in 2014. Each year, the Pedagogicon attracts hundreds of scholars throughout Kentucky and beyond to discuss and exchange ideas and strategies focused on current and emerging themes.

Pedagogicon 2021 Keynote Speaker
Rebecca Pope-Ruark, Ph.D.
Rebecca Pope-Ruark, PhD earned her doctorate in Rhetoric and Professional Communication from Iowa State University and spent 12 years as a tenure track/tenured faculty member before moving into her current role as a faculty teaching and learning specialist in the Center for Teaching at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Her research focuses on collaboration, faculty goal and project management using the Scrum framework, and faculty burnout. She is the author of Agile Faculty: Practical Strategies for Managing Research, Service, and Teaching (Chicago, 2017) and co-editor of the collection Redesigning Liberal Education: Innovative Design for a Twenty-First Century Undergraduate Education (Johns Hopkins, 2020). Her current book project for Johns Hopkins explores burnout among high-achieving women faculty. She lives in Atlanta, GA.
